Enduring Programs
Enduring materials,
such as accredited Q&A monographs, can
be
used to extend the life and reach of a variety of successful educational
programs. They are designed to reach a large
percentage of the target
audience who did not participate in the
original program, and are
an effective method for amortizing costs.
Enduring materials may include a CD-ROM or audiotape and a monograph
with slides. They should represent the educational
program as closely
as possible while still being easy to use.
The CD-ROM technology
can include animation and taped vignettes
of speakers and patients.
A learning assessment is included for this purpose in the package
for CE credits as required.
The content of
the printed and recorded components is composed
of the didactic
presentation and the Q&A session from the original
AudioConference program. Enduring materials are a cost-effective
way to continue disseminating information on key issues. They address
the issues of greatest concern to clinicians precisely
because the
clinician’s questions during the live program are
presented
in the content.
INCE also offers stand-alone self-study materials that include all
of the components indicated above.
